Inside:
Photos inside while giving away 490 food boxes for Christmas and the Pizza Party afterwards to celebrate surviving the cold weather of 10 degree wind-chill with snow! New Advent banners hand made by the "after Bible study group." A group of ladies in the church that enjoy doing crafts. Many thanks to all of the hours and loving care that was put forth. The banners represent "Hope", "Love", "Joy" and "Peace." Thank you ladies.
In our church, there are four cloth banners hanging on the walls during the Christmas season. They each contain one word: "Peace" "Joy" "Love" "Hope" Each of these is a part of the real Christmas story. A passage that contains each of them is Romans 5: 1-5. "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have PEACE with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice (have JOY) in HOPE of the Glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, HOPE. Now HOPE does not disappoint, because the LOVE of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."
Jesus is love because He gave Himself without reservation. This is the true meaning of Christmas, God's love to us, our love to Him and our love to each other. May you have a blessed 2010 filled with God's love!
